Wheel lashings, also known as load lashing straps or lashing straps, are strong, durable bands or straps used to secure loads during transport. They are usually made of high-strength nylon or polyester and are designed to withstand the enormous stresses that occur during driving, braking and acceleration. Wheel lashings are available in different lengths and widths to accommodate different load sizes and shapes.Wheel lashings are used in particular when you need to secure cars that are to be transported on trailers or on trucks.
Our wheel lashings consist of two parts. A ring or a wire hook is mounted in the long part, while a ratchet with a wire hook is mounted in the short end.
How to use wheel lashings
Place the car correctly on the vehicle that will transport it. The wheels must be in their intended positions and the car must be centered on the vehicle to maintain balance. Use wheel lashings of appropriate strength for the intended task. Form a "loop" around the wheel of the car to be transported with the long strap. Identify the lashing points on the vehicle that will be transporting the car and secure the wheel lashing in these. The lashing points are usually made of strong metal and designed to withstand the forces that occur during transport.The strap is then tightened well with the ratchet so that the car is both fixed and unable to move during transport. Check regularly before and during transport that the wheel lashing is intact and correctly attached.
