Short link chain
If you need a short link chain, you will find a good selection at CERTEX Danmark A/S. We sell both short link chains for lifting, as well as short link chains that are not approved for lifting - your choice depends on what function your chain will be used for.
This is what a short link chain looks like
In short link chains, the links are relatively short compared to the width of the links. This results in greater flexibility and durability. This type of chain is strong and can withstand high loads, and they are suitable to withstand being used in harsh weather and corrosive environments.
What to consider before choosing a short link chain
Before choosing a chain type, it is important to consider factors such as the required strength, working load limit, corrosion resistance and the specific application. Always be sure to choose a chain type that has been designed and tested for the type of load and environment it will be exposed to.
Short link chain for lifting
The short link chains approved for lifting are available in both Grade 10 and Grade 8. They are manufactured to withstand significant loads, and they are used for many different purposes, like in in chain slings, for lifting operations and for securing loads. In Grade 10, we offer our own POWERTEX short link chain type PSL. It comes with a blue painted finish, and each length of chain is marked for quick and positive identification. This chain is well-suited for demanding applications. You can read more about the advantages of chain and chain components in Class 10 in our article "The benefits of Grade 10"
Short link chain DIN 766A, not approved for lifting
When a chain is not suitable for lifting, it may be because it does not meet the necessary safety standards or does not have the necessary strength and durability. This type of chain is suitable for many other purposes, such as for cordoning off or marking an area, they can be used for fixing equipment, or in machines where lifting capacity is not required, but where movement or power transmission is required. The chains can also be used on vehicle tires to improve traction in snow or ice.
