A 170 tons heavy stone is moved

One of Denmark's largest stones, the Hundborg stone of approx. 170 tons had to be moved from its location from down in the ground, and up to the ground surface, a move of approx. 50 meters. The purpose of the move is that the stone should be exhibited to tourists near Thisted.

To this operation we supplied a 4-layer webbing sling of WLL 60 tons with a length of 24 meters. The strap was placed around the giant stone, which in this way could be pulled up on a thick metal plate that should work as a kind of sled.

The operation, which extended over a long period of time, was accessible to the public, and it attracted a number of people as well as news channels.
