Installation of permanent fall protection at De Danske Gærfabrikker

”We wanted to set up fall protection as a preventive measure. Our trucks are loaded with yeast cream, which can be slippery if spilled” says Thomas Kjeldsen, technical manager at De Danske Gærfabrikker in Lunderskov.

CERTEX Danmark A/S has installed permanent fall protection in the area where the trucks unload yeast cream in the storage tanks. It is important for De Danske Gærfabrikker that the safety of the drivers is the top priority when they use the footbridges on top of the trucks. Therefore, it was an easy decision to invest in fall protection systems, as they are then on the safe side, if a footbridge should be slippery.

The Alsipercha systems from Alsina are the first of their kind to be sold and installed in Denmark. The special thing about this type of fall protection is that there is a built-in shock absorber in the gallow, where other systems are made with a fixed arm, which will deform if the system is activated. This most likely results in the system having to be replaced. With the Alsipercha system, the fall is mitigated and affects the person almost 3 times less on the body, while the system remains intact.

We have installed 2 systems of 12 meters each at De Danske Gærfabrikker.
