When building a bridge, big cranes are needed!

CERTEX Danmark is the crane supplier for the Storstroem Bridge project. During this project we have shared both images and information about the gantry cranes we have installed at the Storstroem Bridge construction site.

The largest of the 10 cranes is a 260-ton custom designed gantry crane with a span of 28 meters and height of 13 meters under the girder. In the video you can see the crane while it is being installed.
 

The cranes make it possible to handle and transport the large bridge elements so that the bridge can be built and ready for car traffic in 2022. *

The new bridge is being built by JV Stormstroem Bridge – ITINERA S.p.A.
