This lifting hook for tower section lifting or other cylindrical items with an inside diameter with a flange, is designed as a C-hook following EN 13155, terms and definitions. It is designed to support the windmill tower section, when it is lifted and transported in a horizontal attitude.
The J-hook is equipped with two coated rollers in a cradle and nylon guard plates to resist metal-to-metal contact between the steel lifting hook and the tower section. It is designed with a Ø84 mm lifting point for a 125t (Metric) Sling saver type shackle at the top.
The J-hook has additional plates on the rear plate designed to allow the hook to be lifted using a forklift truck - the fork size is 220mm wide by 95mm high.
